Contracting Opportunities
Word-ism is often on the lookout for experienced contract transcription typists.
To be considered you need the following:
- Previous, verifiable transcription typing experience
- A high level of accuracy and typing speed of at least 85 - 90 wpm
- Accurate English (Australian) spelling and a wide vocabulary
- Be reliable and a self starter - do the typing when you promised as we make a commitment to the client
- A reasonable level of computer literacy
(you will be required to download digital audio files from our site and attach the finished document in an email back to us) - A dependable computer, broadband Internet connection and email address
- A word processor that can save files in Microsoft Word 97 format
- Digital transcription software (Word-ism uses and recommends Express Scribe), headset and foot pedal
- A professional work ethic and to respect the commercial sensitivity / privacy requirements of our clients
- Be based in Australia
